Winner Boston Marathon

The Boston Marathon is an annual marathon hosted by the U.S. city of Boston, Massachusetts, on Patriots' Day, the third Monday of April. Begun in 1897 and inspired by the success of the first modern-day marathon competition in the 1896 Summer Olympics, the Boston Marathon is the world's oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the world's best-known road racing events. It is one of five World Marathon Majors.

In the 100th running of the Boston Marathon in 1996, the number of participants reached 38,000. The Boston Marathon was originally a local event, but its fame and status have attracted runners from all over the world. The first cash prize for winning the marathon was awarded in 1986.

Women were not allowed to enter the Boston Marathon officially until 1972. Roberta "Bobbi" Gibb is recognized as the first woman to run the entire Boston Marathon (in 1966). Besides the Olympic trials, Boston is the only major American marathon that requires a qualifying time. Through 2005, the race began at noon, (wheelchair race began at 11:25 a.m., and the elite women at 11:31 a.m.) at the official starting point in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.

The course runs through 26.22 miles (42.195 km) of winding roads, following Route 135, Route 16, Route 30 and city streets into the center of Boston, where the official finish line is located at Copley Square, alongside the Boston Public Library. The race runs through eight Massachusetts cities and towns: Hopkinton, Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton, Brookline, and Boston.

The Boston Marathon is considered to be one of the more difficult marathon courses because of the Newton hills, which culminate in Heartbreak Hill near Boston College. Heartbreak Hill is an ascent over 0.4 mile (600 m) of the Boston Marathon course, between the 20 and 21 mile marks, in the vicinity of Boston College. The nickname "Heartbreak Hill" originated with an event in the 1936 race. On only four occasions have world record times for marathon running been set in Boston.

In 2004 Ernst van Dyk of South Africa set a men's wheelchair marathon world record time of 1:18:27. After winning the Boston Marathon on Monday for a record ninth time, South African wheelchair athlete Ernst Van Dyk will compete at the 2010 Virgin London Marathon on Sunday, April 25.

Cristiano Ronaldo Almeria

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, OIH commonly known as Cristiano Ronaldo, is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a winger for Spanish club Real Madrid and serves as captain of the Portuguese national team. Ronaldo currently holds the distinction of being the most expensive player in football history after having transferred to Real Madrid from Manchester United in a deal worth £80 million. His contract with Real Madrid is believed to have made him the highest-paid football player in the world.

Ronaldo's precocious talent caught the attention of Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson and he signed the 18-year-old for £12.24 million in 2003. In 2008, Ronaldo won his first UEFA Champions League title, and was named player of the tournament.

Ronaldo, starting his first home match in over two months due to his ankle injury, also created a goal and missed a penalty as Madrid made hard work of seeing off lowly Almeria. That sparked the home side into action, and Madrid responded with goals from Gonzalo Higuain, Karim Benzema - who netted after Ronaldo's penalty had been saved - and then Ronaldo in the final 17 minutes.

Only superb goalkeeping by Almeria's Diego Alves kept Madrid down to one goal during a one-sided first half, with the Brazilian doing superbly to deny Rafael van der Vaart (twice), Higuain (twice), Ronaldo and Esteban Granero in the first period.

Ronaldo went crashing after attempting to round Alves, but the Almeria goalkeeper looked to get his hands on the ball.

Last weekend was a tough one for the world’s most expensive football star Cristiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid got beaten 2-0 by Barcelona in El Clasico, and Cristiano Ronaldo got whistled for his unimpressive performance.

Tiger Woods

Eldrick Tont "Tiger" Woods is an American professional golfer whose achievements to date rank him among the most successful golfers of all time. Currently the World No. 1, he was the highest-paid professional athlete in 2008, having earned an estimated $110 million from winnings and endorsements.

Woods has won 14 professional major golf championships, the second highest of any male player (Jack Nicklaus leads with 18), and 71 PGA Tour events, third all time. He has more career major wins and career PGA Tour wins than any other active golfer. Woods has won 16 World Golf Championships, and has won at least one of those events each of the 11 years they have been in existence.

Woods was born in Cypress, California, to Earl and Kultida Woods. This makes Woods himself half Asian one quarter African American, one eighth Native American, and one-eighth Dutch. Woods grew up in Orange County, California. In 1984 at the age of eight, he won the 9–10 boys' event, the youngest age group available, at the Junior World Golf Championships.

While attending Western High School in Anaheim at the age of 15, Woods became the youngest ever U.S. Junior Amateur Champion in 1991, was voted Southern California Amateur Player of the Year for the second consecutive year, and Golf Digest Junior Amateur Player of the Year for 1991. In 1992, he defended his title at the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, becoming the first multiple winner, competed in his first PGA Tour event, the Nissan Los Angeles Open, and was named Golf Digest Amateur Player of the Year, Golf World Player of the Year, and Golf week National Amateur of the Year.

The following year, Woods won his third consecutive U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, and remains the event's youngest-ever and only multiple winner. Woods won over the TPC at Saw grass in Florida. He was a member of the American team at the 1994 Eisenhower Trophy World Amateur Golf Team Championships, and the 1995 Walker Cup.

Woods was recruited very heavily by college golf powers, and chose Stanford University, the 1994 NCAA Division I champion. At age 20 in 1996, he became the first golfer to win three consecutive U.S. Amateur titles, winning at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Oregon, and won the NCAA individual golf championship. While expectations for Woods were high, his form faded in the second half of 1997, and in 1998 he only won one PGA Tour event.

Navigon Style

Global Positioning Systems like those manufactured by Navigon keep even the most navigationally challenged drivers on the road. Navigon GPS devices offer features such as assistance in which lane to drive in different voices for directions and thousands of points of interests. In addition, like other GPS units, Navigon GPS software can also be updated in order to deliver new features or fix bugs that may be causing problems with your GPS device.

NAVIGON has announced regional mobile navigator apps for lower prices than its primary Mobile Navigator North America app. The Traffic Live feature available in app for $25 is also reduced to $20 until April 12. The flagship Mobile Navigator app is $80.

The single region version is US$24.99 until April 12, when the price goes up to $29.99. All versions include the new My Routes feature. Navigon My Routes learns from the user's driving style to provide customized and better route recommendations. The feature also offers up to two alternative routes clearly displayed on a map including ETA, distance and driving time. The feature is available as an in-app one-time purchase at a promotional price of $19.99 until April 12th.

Navigon has certainly done that with the Navigon My Region edition. You can find a complete Navigon feature list here. Take a closer look at the Navigon 8100T Features and decide if the Navigon 8100T is the ideal GPS navigator for you.

The apps run on iPhone version 3.0 or greater. The Navigon gps units are the only ones that allow you to update maps quarterly instead of the typical yearly map and for a lot less money. Street name announcement is a useless and unreliable feature on any gps unit.

The one major thing all gps unit are lacking is up to date maps and reasonably priced map updates. I returned the Navigon. This GPS navigator is wonderful. Possibly the fastest GPS device to be offered by Navigon, is the solid performing Navigon 8100T. This Navigon GPS navigator provides users a panoramic 3D view of the terrain on its downright massive 4.8 crystal clear display. Most of all, this GPS navigator from Navigon provides a plethora of amazing features at a most reasonable price tag, making the Navigon 8100T the perfect option for folks searching for a top of the range device amongst Navigon’s host of products.
